Online Gaming

For Mom and Dad...

Have you ever wondered what your child was rambling on about at the dinner table when he or she started saying things like “VR” or “RPG”? If so, you’re not alone. “VR” and “RPG” aren’t new text messaging acronyms – they’re acronyms for gaming and this article is going to introduce you to some of the more common forms.

If you at least thought of the Internet when you heard “VR” or “RPG” however, you’re on the right track. Exclusive to the online environment, “VR” or “RPG” – which consequently stands for virtual reality gaming and role playing games – are just two aspects of a gaming world gone wild. The days of playing scrabble in front of the fireplace are over in today’s generation, but we don’t believe you’ll hear too many people complaining about it. Today’s generation is fascinated with online gaming – an opportunity to play games over the Internet with hundreds of people at a time.

Available to anyone with a computer and fast Internet connection, there are thousands of online games available to play by anyone... sometimes free and sometimes for a fee. They range from the familiar family board games to strange and more complicated games which require a hundred page manual to understand. One thing that they all have in common however is that they’re fun to play.

The most common type of online game you’ll probably run into is the Flash game - usually located on educational sites or Yahoo! for Kids for example. These games may or may not involve other players, but they’re always full of color, they’re fast to download, and they’re fun to play. Since they run inside the web browser, no special equipment is needed. These are the simple games – more intriguing than checkers, but no more difficult to play than chess.

Another type of online gaming is more violent than the ones we described above and it’s similar to the “shoot-em-up” type games found on the first Nintendo and Playstation systems. Designed from the first person’s point of view, the player typically maneuvers around the screen as a weapon-clad hand – periodically changing weapons as the game’s scenario permits. The violence in these games vary from mild to offensive, and as a parent, you’re cautioned to monitor your children’s access to them – especially since these games are played online with other people.

Next, in terms of complication or violence, comes the virtual reality gaming and role playing games that we introduced earlier. These types of games require an extensive amount of time spent online since players assume the role of a game character in play. Players work hard to build up an inventory of weapons or skills – none of which can be accomplished in a period of thirty minutes or less. They then go on to interact with other characters which extends game time even longer (if it even stops). Both virtual reality gaming and role playing games require and encourage strategic thinking, but as parents, you may not be comfortable with the violence that’s prominent in some of these games. Nor may you be comfortable with the amount of time that playing these kinds of games can consume. Depending on the complexity of the game, any one person could spend at least six months at a game and having access to thousands of other players simultaneously doesn’t exactly make them easy to walk away from.

Our best advice is to learn about these games right along with your child and make the decision to play them (or not play them) together. You can find some helpful advice about making computer decisions with children in our article entitled, “Protecting Children Online.”

DotA 6.72f map

DotA 6.72f map is officially out. IceFrog has released yet another fix patch to end the dominating streak of annoying bugs. Once again, it fixes a only bug with Syllabear Spiritbear's Return ability which was not functioning properly. Hopefully, DotA 6.72f remains bug free so it doesn't interrupt further development of DotA 2.

IceFrog has apologized to the fans for the recent bug patches. This map is rumored to be the last version as DotA 2 is expected to be released in fall this year. You can catch the latest DOTA 2 News on DotA 2 Utilities.

Mobile scanner - Binbit - Unsubscribe

People from many countries has been victimized by the binbit scam.
This fake service will first lure you to to convert your ordinary mobile phone into an xray scanner.
It will then ask for your mobile number. User will unsuspectingly enter their mobile phone number out of curiosity, saying that they just want to try it since entering your mobile phone number is free.
User will enter their mobile number just to see what will happen.
It's free anyway.

Well, that's what we thought at first. Until our load is deducted with 10 pesos per day, yes, ten pesos, WTF right ?

This scam has been become popular on many countries, and our country Philippines is one of the place where this crime is happening.

So we all asks:

How to unsubscribe from binbit here in the Philippines?

But these thieves are not just here in our country, here are (so far) other coutries where these scammers are operating:

Argentina - How to unsubscribe from binbit here in the Argentina ?
Bolivia - How to unsubscribe from binbit here in the Bolivia ?
Chile - How to unsubscribe from binbit here in the Chile ?
Colombia - How to unsubscribe from binbit here in the Colombia ?
Costa Rica - How to unsubscribe from binbit here in the Costa Rica ?
Ecuador - How to unsubscribe from binbit here in the Ecuador ?
El Salvador - How to unsubscribe from binbit here in the El Salvador ?
Guatemala - How to unsubscribe from binbit here in the Guatemala ?
Mexico - How to unsubscribe from binbit here in the Mexico ?
Nicaragua - How to unsubscribe from binbit here in the Nicaragua ?
Panama - How to unsubscribe from binbit here in the Panama ?
Paraguay - How to unsubscribe from binbit here in the Paraguay ?
Peru - How to unsubscribe from binbit here in the Peru ?
Philippines - How to unsubscribe from binbit here in the Philippines ?
Singapore - How to unsubscribe from binbit here in the Singapore ?
South Africa - How to unsubscribe from binbit here in the South Africa ?
Thailand - How to unsubscribe from binbit here in the Thailand ?
Uruguay - How to unsubscribe from binbit here in the Uruguay ?
USA - How to unsubscribe from binbit here in the USA ?

They have this website but it offers no help at all, it's a total useless.

So how to really remove your subscription from binbit ?

Here are some of the method you can try.

Note: Please make sure that you have balance before trying to unsubscribe.

·         Just type UNSUBSCRIBEBINBIT

·         or STOPBINBIT

·         or CANCELBINBIT

·         or QUITBINBIT

·         or OFFBINBIT

·         or STOP BIN then send to 2474.

The last one is what worked for me.

This method is for the Philippines only. If you didn't succeed the first time, just repeat until you receive a confirmation which usually takes up to 24 hours.

If you happen to know how to unsubscribe to your own country, kindly share on the comment below.

How to Speed up your PC by this simple RAM tweak

Well this is a little tuto or in other terms tweak for the techs. SO… Faster PC , first of all why a faster PC ?? Well its not a question of a faster PC but this is more a question of when. If you’ve been running a large application (or several large applications, maybe a game, Photoshop, something like that) the RAM can get taken up quickly. Even when you close down these programs, RAM can still be eaten-up.

You’ll notice this effect at the end of the day. When you first power-up your PC it’s running smoothly, by the end of the day it gets sluggish. Yes, you can get various softwares to solve this. May of which costs but when free things matters, heres how a simple trick can work (in both XP and Vista)

Open up Notepad
Type in
MYSTRING=(80000000)
Save the file as MEMORY.VBE (or RAM.VBE if you like…just remember the .VBE)
Make sure you save the file to your DESKTOP.
Just double-click the newly created file on your desktop whenever your PC seems sluggish. It will give your RAM a much needed boost.
Not that if you have less than 128mb of RAM (do you really? If so then Oh! wake up you need an upgrade) change the 80000000 to 160000000 and it should work the same.
